Description
The original Johnson & Johnson brand First-Aid Kit entered the commercial market in 1888. However, increased travel in the early 1920s prompted the company to create this pocket-sized "Travelkit." This portable, tin kit is packed with essentials to treat minor injuries in remote locations, including BAND-AID brand bandages, antiseptic, and burn ointment. The compactness of the Travelkit made it ideal for people "on the go," or where medical care facilities were scarce, like at the Hoover Dam construction site at the Black Canyon.
