With little access to hospitals, at-home medical care texts were essential to the well-being of Dam workers and their families. Modern Home Physician is an example of a medical reference book designed for practical use in the home. First published in 1934, the text was frequently updated, resulting in this 1939 edition edited by Dr. Victor Robinson containing 232 photographs and nearly 700 anatomical drawings.
